Now Parenting: Week 25

Sunday: Another week starts with over 6 hrs sleep. Then Alexandra for 3.5 hours (to 11am) including two snoozes. Breakfast, removed slush in the rain, weigh-in, attempt at a snooze myself, grading. Made dinner 6pm, with Alexandra when she woke for half an hour before bath - with no tears! Huh. To bed after 10pm, managed crib after 11pm before I collapsed downstairs. She slept until 1:30am.
Previous INDEX Next

Monday: Up by 6am, grading papers, leading into standard school. There until after 2pm, home after 3:30pm. Less than an hour with little one before fussing, with Mom from 5pm while dinner and more grading. To bed after 9pm. Downstairs by 10:30pm.

Tuesday: Much crying before 6am (and apparently at 12:30am) when breathing was difficult. Assisted, did grading, took Alexandra for over half an hour. Standard school, plus staff meeting. Home before 4:30pm. With little one for over 90 minutes from 5pm. Dishes, dinner (oven mess), somehow free time at 7:30pm. Towards bed after 10pm, false crib after 11pm, retry, downstairs after 11:30pm.

Wednesday: She was in crib until 3am! Standard school (on 6 hrs sleep), plus math help at lunch. To movies before 1pm for Ralph breaking Internet. Home, then back to movie to get tie. With Alexandra for about 2 hours from 4:15pm, then dinner. Towards bed 8:45pm, downstairs by 10pm, exhausted.

Thursday: Woke before 6am, did some writing. With Alexandra for half an hour, standard school plus test written at lunch. Home for 2pm to clean oven and tidy up. With little one when she got home, 3:45pm, including standard snooze... that led into sleep at 5:45pm lasting 90 minutes. Huh. Only Mom could quell the tears upon awakening. Dinner, comic chat, towards bed after 10pm, downstairs after 11pm.

Thurs/Fri Overnight: Bizarre dreams after wakeup before 5am. An admin boosts a post right before putting little one to bed, flooding my mentions; someone says Michael James (MJ) Miller now teacher in Ottawa; dad takes family for pretzels but Anne-Lise not in car; weird zoo/museum with exhibit/story of people in disaster who don't exist; woke to alarm. Random sidebar, realized protagonist for the Lotus Prince game I'm watching is also Alexandra.

Friday: Observed Alexandra pick up soother and pop in her mouth, woo. Standard school plus anime club, then a couple hours of dealing with MDM surveys. Via store on way home, not with little one until 4pm. Played with ways to handle teething, 100 minutes as Mom made dinner. Towards bed after 10pm, downstairs 11:30pm.

Saturday: Had dreamt of writing Riverdale stories from perspective of Svenson; also buying NaNo merchandise like a pillow cover? Awake before 6:30am. Rough night upstairs, with blocked nose. With Alexandra for almost three hours, including snooze and knocking her head into her chair (oops). Out for breakfast, then alone with daughter again for over two hours from noon. Tears subsided with checking out alarm clock, then eventually was granted a smile. Passed out at 2:30pm for an hour. Some back and forth after 6pm, and after 7:30pm. Attempted crib after 9pm. Then her cold woke her at 10:30pm. Today was a mess.
